Let me introduce you to
the Early Irons of Orlando. We
are a charter club of the National Street Rod Association covering the
Orlando area. We have been
in existence for over 30 years. Our annual Easter Rod
Run is held every Easter Weekend. This
Rod Run is one of the oldest and most popular in the state of Florida.
The profits raised during the raffle are donated to charity.
One of our proudest moments was in 1990.
The club members worked together to build a 1929 Ford Roadster
Street Rod that was raffled off which went to one lucky winner.
Over $13,000 that was raised was donated to a local Charity. In addition to our
annual Rod Run, members get together for monthly activities.
Some of our favorite events have been canoeing down the Wekiva
River, cruising to new restaurants, bowling, go-carting, and a night at
the stock car races just to name a few. As
a club, we try todo at least one social event in addition to other rod
runs every month. Please
see the attached list of tentative activities planned for this year. An unfinished car or no
car at all is welcome just as much as a show quality car.
We strive to keep the street
in street rodding by driving our cars whenever possible. If you would like to
know more about our club, please join us any first or third Wednesday of
the month at the Maitland Community Center.
The community center is located at 1400 Mayo Ave near to the
Maitland Interchange and 17-92 in Maitland.
Our meetings start promptly at 8:00 PM. We look forward to meeting you, |
